After reading the Eureka Quick Up Cordless 2 in 1 reviews, I plugged it in and the charge light stayed on for about 4 hours. I left it plugged in for 48 hours. I used it on my 9×12 kitchen floor and it ran out of power in 10 minutes. So I charged it again for 48 hours (the light stayed on this time) and then used it. It did an amazing job both on bare floors, rugs and my stairs (combination of bare wood and low carpet). It does not do the same kind of deep cleaning on the rugs as my Dyson but I did not expect that; having arthritis using such a lightweight unit was really great.
